Old Functional Work

Artist In Residence At Barrett

In a random email from our studio tech there was a link to a summer residency in Poughkeepsie that looked awesome. I applied for it through Barrett Clay Works. I ended up getting the residency along with one other person. The residency includes free studio space and firings, which is amazing. The space extremely large and everyone who I have met so far has been amazing.

I do have to do some studio maintenance during the week and am now in charge with the other resident of Family Clay Day. This is an awesome program that invites everyone and anyone to participate in making clay art work in the facilities. It costs 2.00 per person then 2.00 per piece of work you make and want to be fired. It is run the last Saturday of every month.

I am stoked, found my inspiration at a yard sale, a bunch of old teeth molds. What to do with them?
